One of these days

I’m going to blog about copyright and aggravating things related to it and photography I’ve gone through it lately.

Not dead.  Just BUSY.

“In a world where there are 500,000 pictures a second being uploaded onto Facebook, what does it mean to be a photographer in that environment?”

I am fortunate enough to have a significant other who truly understands the frustrations of the dreaded beach ball (or the hourglass for the windows users) that shows its face when I’m trying to do important things like connect my card reader to the computer or edit images.
For Christmas he got me 4gigs of RAM (upgraded from 1gb).   I feel I should sing this into the 12 days of Christmas.  This came after having to buy a new 500gb hard drive, the last one having crashed a few weeks ago (which is a whole other post).
I feel more content with myself for being able to run itunes, last.fm, cs5, firefox, and whatever the hell else I want all at the same time with no lag and no beach balls!
Under the tree I found two more presents from Santa.  Paris, a collection of Brassai’s work, and an eight pound book of which I forget the name by David LaChapelle.  So happy to receive the two most coveted items from my Christmas list.

Art Star

Sorry.  I didn’t know what else to title this and now I have the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s song in my head.  Win win for me.

In the last two days I’ve had two different people approach me asking if I wanted to be in their art/gallery shows.  The first one, IF it happens would be on Dec 1st.  Big IF.  Hopefully we find out soon!  The 2nd would be at some point next year, but it could result in multiple shows.

This will be a first for me, so I’m pretty excited.
